Branch and Bramble helps homeowners in Birmingham and the West Midlands get tree work and garden clearance priced and done by a local specialist, without chasing five firms or getting five phone calls.
You tell us what you need and where it is. We pass your enquiry to one specialist who covers your postcode, and they contact you, usually the same day, with a fixed price. If you want an indicative price range before they call, you can add photos and a few details about the job straight after you send it.
How your enquiry is handled
Each area has one tree specialist and one garden clearance specialist. Your enquiry goes to that one business. If they can’t take the job, we pass it to one other local specialist instead, never to several at once. They know the enquiry is theirs, so they have every reason to reply quickly and price it properly. You deal with one firm, and if it isn't right for you, you can tell us.
How we check our partners
Before a specialist receives enquiries from us, we check and record:
- Public liability insurance, with the expiry date noted. We chase renewals before cover runs out and stop sending enquiries if it lapses.
- NPTC chainsaw certificates (or an equivalent recognised qualification) for anyone doing tree work. Working at height with a chainsaw is skilled, dangerous work, and qualifications matter.
- Waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency, so garden clearance waste and tree arisings are taken away legally. If waste you pay to have removed ends up fly-tipped, you can be held responsible.
We only describe a specialist as "vetted" where we have made these checks. We also look at their reviews and track how they treat the people we send them: whether they get in touch, whether they quote and what customers tell us afterwards. A few days after your enquiry, we email to ask whether they contacted you. If they didn't, we want to know.
What we are not
We don't do the work. Branch and Bramble is an introducer and advertising service. Specialists pay us a monthly subscription to receive enquiries in their area; homeowners pay us nothing.
That means:
- the price we show is an estimate, and the specialist sets the real price
- your contract is with the specialist, who is responsible for the job
- we can't guarantee their workmanship, but we record every complaint and act on them
