Branch and Bramble sends homeowner enquiries for tree work and garden clearance across Birmingham and the West Midlands to one local business per area and trade. If you hold the patch, every enquiry for your trade in it comes to you, and nobody else sees it.
No pay-per-lead, no bidding against four other firms for the same job, no commission on the work you win.
How it works
- A homeowner fills in our quote form: what needs doing, sizes, access, timing and at least two photos. They see an indicative price range before they send it.
- Their postcode tells us which patch they're in. The enquiry goes to the specialist who holds that patch for that trade, and only to them.
- You get an email with everything you need to price it: the photos, their answers, the indicative estimate we showed them, any flags (overhead cables, near a building, possible asbestos, knotweed, likely tree preservation order area) and their name, mobile, email and address.
- You tap Contacted once you've been in touch. If the job isn't for you (too far, wrong trade, too small, too busy), tap Not for me and it goes elsewhere. It's logged, but you're not penalised for an honest pass.
- You log the outcome: quoted, won or lost. It takes a few seconds and it's how we both know what the enquiries are worth to you.
The homeowner is told your business name, so they're expecting your call. A few days later we ask them whether you got in touch.
Two trades per patch
Each patch has two slots:
- Tree: removal, felling, crown reduction and other pruning, stump grinding, hedge reduction and removal, conifer removal
- Clearance: garden and overgrown garden clearance, brambles, green waste collection, hedge trimming, shed, fence and decking removal
If a job covers both, it goes to the tree specialist, with the clearance part flagged. You can pass that part on.
Start with a free trial
We start with a trial. You get a run of free exclusive enquiries from your area, with no strings and no card details. We see how they convert for you, and you decide whether it's worth continuing.
After the trial
From month 3 in each patch, the holder pays a flat monthly fee based on how many enquiries the patch has actually produced. These figures are indicative and may change before we launch paid subscriptions.
| Tier | Enquiries per month | Monthly fee (per trade) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Under 20 | £250 |
| Standard | 20 to 40 | £450 |
| Prime | 40 or more | £750 |
- Winter: November to February at 50% of your tier, because enquiries drop.
- Volume floor: if a month comes in below your tier's minimum, the shortfall is credited pro rata against the next month.
- No contract lock-in: rolling monthly, cancel with 30 days' notice.
Prices exclude VAT.
What we ask of you
- Respond within 24 hours. Homeowners are told to expect contact the same day. If you haven't tapped Contacted after 24 hours, you'll get a reminder.
- Valid public liability insurance. We record the expiry date and ask for the renewal.
- Waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency.
- NPTC certificates (or an equivalent recognised qualification) for tree work, for everyone using a chainsaw.
- Log your outcomes. Contacted, quoted, won or lost.
- Treat the customer's details properly. Use them to quote and do the job, and nothing else.
We call a partner "vetted" on the site only when we have checked their insurance and, for tree work, their NPTC certificates.

Questions
Is every enquiry really exclusive?
Yes. Each enquiry goes to one business. We never sell or send the same enquiry to anyone else. If you pass on it, it goes to one other specialist instead, and you're no longer involved.
What if an enquiry is time-wasting or out of my area?
Tap Not for me and choose a reason. Genuinely invalid enquiries (fake details, duplicates, spam) are marked invalid. Because you pay a flat fee rather than per lead, one poor enquiry doesn't cost you anything extra.
Do you take a cut of the jobs I win?
No. There's no commission. The customer pays you directly, and your contract is with them. Branch and Bramble is an advertising and introduction service.
How accurate is the estimate the customer sees?
It's a range worked out from their answers, photos and typical local prices. They're told it's indicative and that you'll confirm a fixed price. Every lead shows you the range so you know what they're expecting before you call. Jobs that need a proper look are marked for a site visit.
How many enquiries will I get?
It depends on the patch, the trade and the season. Patches are sized to produce 20 to 40 enquiries a month once the site is established. Numbers will be lower at first, which is why there's a free trial and why the fee is set by the volume the patch actually produces.
Can I cover more than one patch or both trades?
Yes, if you can handle the volume and meet the requirements for each trade.
How do I stop?
During the trial, just tell us. Once you're paying, give 30 days' notice. There is no minimum term.
Do you do the work or compete with me?
No. We don't carry out any work. Our income comes from partner subscriptions.
